About that Golden Compass post..

yes it's still true for now, but after doing some thinking, I realized that I should be kind of relieved that this is the only gripe I have with the film from what I've seen. Yes, I think the ending in the book is PHENOMENAL, but if that's the only thing I have to worry about, then I think I'll still like or love the film. Worse things have been done in book-to-movie fantasy adaptations; exhibit A: The Seeker: The Dark is Rising which just tanked last weekend. The fans were furious from day one whereas most Golden Compass fans (myself included) have been nothing but pleased with (or at least tolerant of) the film and the direction it's taking.
